About Paradise Pastures

A haven for rescued farm animals in the heart of Hudson, Florida.

Our Story

Paradise Pastures Animal Adventures was born from a deep love for farm animals and a commitment to giving them a second chance at life. What started as a small rescue effort has grown into a full sanctuary and education center in Hudson, Florida.

Every animal has a story — many come from situations of neglect, abandonment, or overcrowded conditions. We provide immediate medical care, rehabilitation, and either a permanent sanctuary home or careful rehoming to loving families who understand the unique needs of farm animals.

As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we rely on the generosity of our community through donations, volunteer support, and adoption fees to continue our mission. Every dollar goes directly to the care and well-being of our animals.

Compassion-First Philosophy

Human-centered approach to behavioral development

Angela's career has always been guided by one belief: every individual — child or animal — deserves to be understood, not just managed.

After beginning her teaching career in 1997, Angela specialized in working with students diagnosed with Severe Emotional Disorders, developing a deep intuition for recognizing pain, fear, and trauma hiding beneath challenging behavior. In 2004, she transitioned into a formal Behavior Specialist role and immediately knew she had found her calling.

Angela went on to pursue training in Applied Behavior Analysis, but ultimately chose a different path — one grounded in human connection, empathy, and individualized care rather than strictly clinical frameworks. That philosophy of seeing the whole person, not just the behavior, is the same one she brings to every animal at Paradise Pastures.

Today, Angela channels over two decades of experience in behavioral science, advocacy, and compassionate care into building a sanctuary where rescued animals receive the patience, understanding, and love they deserve — many of them, for the very first time.
