Volunteer With Us
Get your hands dirty, your heart full, and make a real difference in the lives of rescued animals. We won't sugarcoat it — caring for animals is hard, messy, physical work. And it's absolutely worth every moment.
Sign Me UpReal Talk Before You Sign Up
We love our volunteers and we want to set you up for success. Here's what to expect when you show up at the sanctuary:
- →You will get dirty. Mud, hay, and animal messes are part of the deal.
- →Physical stamina is required — lifting, carrying, walking, and bending are daily tasks.
- →Animals can be unpredictable. We train you, but you must stay alert.
- →Early mornings are the norm — animals don't sleep in.
- →The rewards are enormous. The connections you'll make with our animals are unforgettable.
Ways to Volunteer
There's a role for every skill set and schedule. No experience required — just a willing heart and a good attitude.
Daily Animal Care
Feeding, watering, mucking stalls, refreshing bedding, and making sure every resident starts their day clean and comfortable. This is the backbone of sanctuary life.
Animal Socialization
Spend one-on-one time with our animals — grooming, gentle handling, and simply keeping them company. Especially meaningful for animals who are shy or recovering from trauma.
Veterinary Support
Assist during vet visits, help administer medications, assist with wound care, and keep health records up to date. Veterinary or vet tech background preferred but not required.
Habitat & Maintenance
Keep the sanctuary safe and beautiful. Fence repair, pen maintenance, painting, cleaning structures, and general upkeep so our animals always have a safe space to roam.
Photography & Social Media
Capture the magic of sanctuary life and help us share our mission with the world. Your photos and storytelling help bring in donations, adopters, and more volunteers.
Events & Outreach
Help run our guided tours, community events, and educational programs. You'll be the friendly face visitors meet — and you'll have a blast doing it.
Transport & Rescue Runs
When an animal needs to be rescued, we need drivers and handlers to help bring them safely to the sanctuary. Valid driver's license and comfort around large animals required.
Administrative Support
Help behind the scenes — data entry, donation tracking, adoption applications, grant research, and keeping our nonprofit operations running smoothly.
What to Expect on Your First Day

We'll walk you through the sanctuary, introduce you to our animals, and cover safety protocols before you get started.
Paired with a Lead
Your first few visits you'll shadow an experienced volunteer or staff member so you feel confident and comfortable.

We jump right in. There's always something to do, and you'll never be bored. Wear clothes you don't mind getting messy.
